Should Shonn Stay or Should Shonn Go Now?
November 18, 2008

I’d like to see The Clash re-vamp their song to that just once.  That would be an entertaining mountain of sh-sh-sh-sh’s.  At least I think it’d be entertaining.
The title is the big question.  Should Shonn Greene come back for his senior season at Iowa, or should he leave “early” and turn pro.  Let’s suppose a couple [...]

What is Shonn Greene’s Greatest highlight?
November 17, 2008

Already this season, Shonn Greene has rushed into the Iowa record books and onto many people’s postseason awards radars.  He will likely not win the Heisman Trophy, but he’s a leading candidate for the Maxwell and Doak Walker awards.

November 11, 2008

E-mail us at sports@kcci.com and let us know who is signing (and where they’re headed).
Thanks!

What a moment … apparently, the post-game mosh pit was pretty impressive.  John Meyer made it through ok.  Others in the media did not.  But if ever Iowa fans [...]

H.S. Fball Playoffs, and best H.S. Fball story I’ve seen
November 6, 2008

A few thoughts from #2…
If the weather is decent, the Valley/Dowling game should see 12,000 plus fans on Friday.  I’ve been waiting for anticipated playoff matchup between these two teams since I moved here three years ago. Now I got it.
Hey, let’s not overlook the Ankeny vs. Ames game. The Little Cyclones upset Southeast Polk [...]

Is college football becoming the NFL?
November 6, 2008

Is college football becoming the NFL? The only difference I see between the two is the players officially get paid in the NFL and according to all that is holy, collegiate players get paid via full scholarship, but we all know collegiate football and basketball aren’t all that holy.
Why do I bring this topic up? [...]
