Number one recruit cominig out of Iowa without a doubt is Harrison Barnes, got to see him play twice and he is without a doubt a Blue Chip player and would be a prize recruit for any college program and my advice to him is to get out of Iowa if you want to win Championships, be on a national stage, get a good education with vast oppportunities including potentially making it to the NBA you must go to a major program. If you stay here in Iowa and play you can forget it because you will never make it to the Big Dance by staying here because the so called basketball hierarchy does not support African Americans but enjoys seeing them on the 6 o'clock news for some negative crap. Get out of Iowa and dont regret it!!! Best of Luck to an outstanding talent.

He was born in Hampton, Iowa. That's where we got that information. We'll be sure to change it to his high school. Thanks for the heads up!

I think Harrison Barnes is the most recruited player to come out of Iowa ever. He can essentially go to any college he wants to play basketball. If you look at the last 5 national champions, 3 schools, Kansas, Florida, and North Carolina all have offered him a scholarship. Another interesting note, beginning in the year that he was born, a school that has offered him has made the final four at least once. Obviously multiple schools have made the final four since he was born, but that is the point as well. Here is a more detailed list: Duke (5)**, Florida (4)**, Illinois (1), Indiana (2), Kansas (4)*, Kentucky (4)**, Louisville (1), LSU (1), Maryland (2)*, Minnesota (1), North Carolina (6)**, Oklahoma (1), Texas (1), UCLA (4)*. * denotes national championship. You would be hard pressed to any player to as impressive of a resume of who is recruiting them as Harrison Barnes, let along the state of Iowa.

I researched my information on: http://www.fanbay.net/ncaa/final4.htm#ncaa.
